Changes...

Once my business partner and I formed True Story Photography, I stopped shooting under the "Photography by Julie Basello-Holt" name and this blog was sorely neglected. I decided a change was in order so I've just changed up this blog to reflect more of my adventures in general and not those specifically related to one of the two businesses I own and operate. Naturally most of my "adventures" occur in relation to either Creative Genius Art Gallery and Studio (which I own) or True Story Photography (which I co-own with a partner) but I will attempt to share things of a more personal nature on this blog. Advanced apologies to those who followed this as a photography blog. I won't be insulted if you stop following...

This weekend my stepdaughter, Jodi was over and Sunday morning she and I went to an open house for a new wellness business and then stopped into one of the Antique stores on Main Street. She found an awesome purse (purple with purple flowers on it...wish I had a pic 'cause it was very cool!) and I was mad that I didn't spot it first...
Over the course of the weekend, I also saw one of the photos that Jodi took of her dad recently and really liked it. I asked her to send it to me because I wanted to play with it although there was nothing wrong with the photo as it was shot. I just like playing. It really captured her dad who is a huge lover of nature and the woods. I went overboard with the edits and can't decide which I like best but once I do decide, I am going to print this for our house. Thanks for sharing this, Jodi! (Now send me a picture of the damn purse!)
